Directed by Dan Eycott and animated by myself, this is a video for artists Refraze, Ziey and Ess-Pee for their track ‘I Am Who I Am’ from the mixtape Growing Pains.
We decided to go with a retro 8-bit video game style thanks to the feel that the backing music inspired. The individual animation elements were created in Adobe Illustrator and then animated in After Effects. Each verse was designed to try and reflect a bit about each artist’s individual personality as well.
