My name is Amanda; I’m an animator, illustrator and pre-production designer living and working in London, England. The most important elements of my work are passion, ambition, and a deep love for animation itself; as of writing, animated films outnumber live action films on my shelf by a good 3:1 ratio.
I studied animation at Canterbury Christ Church University from 2008 until 2011, graduating with First Class Honours in January 2012. My graduate film ‘Under The Surface’ has been nominated for a number of awards at film festivals, including the International Student Film Festival in London and the N4YP International Animation Festival in Berlin, gaining nods for Best Film, Best Sound, and earned myself a nomination for Best British Up-And-Coming Animation Talent at Canterbury Anifest 2011.
Since graduating I have worked on a number of independent film productions and have freelanced for companies such as Bokeh and Ekstasy Films, during which I have worked on projects for clients including Samsung, Vodafone, The Prudential, and the Duke of Edinburgh Foundation. In the summer of 2012, I also taught animation and photography at the Discovery Summer International School, based in Winchester College.
Beyond animating, I am also an avid reader, writer, urban explorer, and tea-and-crossword addict.
